 1 SCOPE 

 This Standard specifies the requirements and test methods of vehicle speed range, limits of sound pressure level, frequency, sound type and pause switch for the acoustic vehicle alerting system of electric vehicles running at low speed (hereinafter referred to as “AVAS-LS”).
This Standard applies to the battery electric vehicles (BEV), the hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) with pure electric driving mode, and the fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV), of categories M1 and N1.
