1 SCOPE 

This Standard specifies the labeling for identifying the brake fluids (petroleum- or non-petroleum-based) used in the braking and hydraulic systems of road vehicles, including mopeds and motorcycles.
This Standard applies to the labeling of commercial containers of brake fluids and on-board containers of brake fluids.
