 1 Scope
This standard specifies classification, requirements, testing methods, rules for inspection, marking, package, storage and care of instruments for automobiles and motorcycles (referred to as instruments for short hereunder).
This standard applies to speedometer, speed counter, fuel gauge, thermometer, pressure gauge, voltmeter and ammeter for automobiles and motorcycles, and may be referred to by instruments for other motor vehicles.
