 1 SCOPE 

This Standard specifies the terms and definitions used in the tyre industry, i.e. general terms, tyre classification, tyre components, tyre tread pattern, rim, tyre dimensions, tyre performance and testing, tyre marking, tyre appearance defect, tyre usage, tyre retreading and repair.
This Standard applies to passenger car tyres, light truck tyres, truck tyres, earth-mover tyres, agricultural tyres, industrial tyres, motorcycle tyres, cycle tyres and aircraft tyres.

 2 GENERAL TERMS

 2.1
轮胎tyre
The circular ring-shaped elastomer products, fitted to the wheels of vehicles or aircrafts, intended for the moving of vehicles such as motor vehicles, earth-movers, agricultural machinery, industrial vehicles, motorcycles and cycles, etc. and the landing/take-off of aircrafts.
2.2
新[轮]胎new tyre
The tyre that has been neither used nor subjected to a retreading operation.
2.3
胀大轮胎 grown tyre
The tyre that has undergone expansion of peripheral dimension due to use in service.
2.4
充气轮胎 pneumatic tyre
The tyre of which the cavity is required to be inflated with compressed gas or liquid and is able to maintain pressure. It includes tube tyre and tubeless tyre.
