 1 SCOPE

 This Standard applies to a type of permanent label for the vehicle identification number that can be automatically identified through a bar-coded format.
This Standard sets out the basic requirements for the content of vehicle identification number (VIN) bar-code label, as well as the specifications for bar code and the test methods for label performance.
