 1 SCOPE

 This Standard specifies the limits of fuel consumption for light-duty commercial vehicles.
This Standard applies to Category N1 vehicles fuelled by gasoline or diesel with maximum design speed at least 50 km/h, and Category M2 vehicles with a maximum design mass not exceeding 3,500 kg.
This Standard does not apply to the following special-purpose vehicles, e.g. special goods van, special goods tanker, special tipper, special goods box, special goods crane and special construction vehicle, etc.
