 1 SCOPE

 This standard specifies safety property requirements and test methods for fuel tanks of motorcycles and mopeds.
This standard applies to metallic and non-metallic fuel tanks for motorcycles and mopeds (hereinafter referred to as motorcycles).

 2 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

 For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1
Fuel tank
An independent tank body assembly for storage of fuel tank mounted on a motorcycle and moped.
2.2
Fuel leak
Fuel dropping from the fuel tank linearly or drip by drip. 
2.3
Rated capacity
The capacity of fuel to be filled in the fuel tank as designed.
2.4
Fuel weight loss
The change in weight of fuel stored in the tank due to diffusion action during specified safety property test for fuel tank.
